FCCA Gala – Evening with the Stars

Pembroke Pines, FL (March 8, 2012) – A star-studded lineup of top level cruise executives will serve as hosts for the 18th annual FCCA Gala Dinner and Entertainment Extravaganza on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at the Miami Beach Convention Center. The evening will begin with a 90-minute cocktail reception, where you can meet and mingle with CEOs and presidents, along with decision-making cruise line executives from operations, tours, itinerary planning, marketing and every other aspect of the cruise industry.  A silent art auction, with a collection of magnificent artwork from Park West Gallery, will take place before the dinner commences.

Guests will then sit at tables hosted by the cruise line executive, president or CEO of their choice (for which a limited amount of tickets are still available), each representing the member lines of the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association – all of which is possible due to the efforts and generosity of our joint event sponsors, Port Everglades and PortMiami.

The ample networking opportunities, insightful conversation and scrumptious food and wine will also be joined by plenty of entertainment. One of the firsts for this year’s Gala is a special emcee for the festivities; DJ Irie of Carnival Cruise Lines and the Miami Heat will be setting the mood during the evening. DJ Irie, born in St. Croix, raised in Miami and schooled in Jamaica, is known for his immense energy. Catch him on the tables at NBA All Star Weekend, VH1 Pepsi Superbowl Fan Jam, Fortune Magazine’s 40 Under 40, huge jet-setting events in countries including Germany, Switzerland, Austria, or in Acapulco, Bahamas & St. Maarten, where he travels fifteen times a year to helm music at their hottest events and clubs. It can almost be said if you haven’t experienced a DJ Irie party, then you’re not attending the right kind of parties. Besides the events, he is the official DJ for the Miami Heat!

All proceeds from the Gala will benefit the FCCA Foundation, with 100 percent of the earnings going to the non-profit, charitable organization. Created in 1993, the Foundation funds humanitarian causes in the Caribbean and Latin America. Numerous worthy projects receive funding each year throughout the FCCA Foundation. Most recently, the FCCA Holiday Gift Project brought smiles to the faces of nearly 7,000 underprivileged children throughout the Caribbean and Latin America

Don’t miss this valuable opportunity to meet with, learn from and influence some of the most significant decision makers throughout the industry while also contributing to a good cause and having a glamorous night filled with art, wine and fine food.
