Business and Relationship Building in High Gear at FCCA’s Seatrade Cruise Global Events

Fort Lauderdale, FL (March 14, 2017) – Networking and promotion opportunities are in high gear at Seatrade Cruise Global, and the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) is helping its members reach top speed through a series of events to develop relationships and business between them and key cruise executives from FCCA’s 19 Member Lines, those who decide where ships call, what sells on board and how to invest in products and infrastructure.

“The FCCA is crucial to maximizing time and opportunities during this busy week,” said Adam Golstein, President & COO of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. and Chairman of the FCCA, who will be on-hand during a networking reception this afternoon at the FCCA’s booth (#2721). “Time becomes extremely limited, and the FCCA’s meetings and events make it possible to meet with stakeholders who have ideas and projects I want—and need—to hear about.”

“Seatrade Cruise Global gathers more cruise executives than any other event, and the FCCA provides direct access to them,” said Michele Paige, president, FCCA. “We do this through a series of meetings and events that discuss crucial operational issues and develop relationships that pave the way for future business between our members, partners and executives from our 19 Member Lines.”

The series of events began Sunday evening at Fort Lauderdale Boatyard at a private meeting between cruise executives like Goldstein and Platinum Members. And the events will continue throughout the week, with many taking place at the FCCA booth. The booth will host a series of meetings between FCCA Member Line executives and destinations’ private and public sectors, including a meeting between FCCA Member Line CEOs and FCCA partner destinations’ ministers of tourism.

The FCCA booth will also host private receptions throughout the event for Platinum Members and guests to target the attending executives, enabling discussions ranging from business operations and recent happenings to family and plans for the week.

Events will also take place a stone’s throw away from the convention center. This evening, the crowd of executives and members will loosen their ties for the Welcome Aboard VIP Reception, a more laid-back affair between Platinum Members and executives to help unwind from the busy week while developing invaluable relationships and business opportunities.

Tomorrow will feature the FCCA’s keynote Seatrade event, the 23rd annual FCCA Gala. Taking place at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina, it will welcome attendees for a networking reception, silent art auction and sit-down dinner with FCCA Member Line executives, presidents and CEOs. And all proceeds will benefit the FCCA Foundation, a non-profit, charitable organization that funds humanitarian causes in the Caribbean and Latin America, including disaster relief, funding for institutions like hospitals and orphanages, and annual projects benefitting educational and children’s causes.

About the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA)
Created in 1972, the FCCA is a not-for-profit trade organization that provides a forum for discussion on tourism development, ports, safety, security, and other cruise industry issues and builds bilateral relationships with destinations’ private and public sectors.
