Cruise Line Executives, Presidents and CEOs Open for Business at the FCCA Cruise Conference & Trade Show

Pembroke Pines, FL (August 28, 2017) – Interacting directly with cruise line decision makers, including presidents and CEOs, will take center stage at the FCCA Cruise Conference & Trade Show. Taking place in Mérida, Mexico from October 23-27, the event—the largest cruise conference and trade show in the Caribbean and Latin America—will offer one-on-one meetings, workshops, social functions, a trade show and more focused on gaining insight from and developing business and relationships with some of the industry’s most influential players.

“I look forward to interacting with cruise tourism's key stakeholders,” said Adam Goldstein, President and COO, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., and Chairman, FCCA. “This is a valuable opportunity for regional destinations and operators to learn how they are being affected by and can take advantage of the industry’s latest developments.”

Other Member Line presidents, chairmen and/or CEOs confirmed to be on hand to interact with attendees and exhibitors include Orlando Ashford, President, Holland America Line, who will deliver the keynote address at the Conference’s opening ceremony; Michael Bayley, President & CEO, Royal Caribbean International; Frank Del Rio, President & CEO, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd.; Arnold Donald, President & CEO, Carnival Corporation & plc; Christine Duffy, President, Carnival Cruise Line; and Richard Sasso, Chairman, MSC Cruises (USA) Inc.

These key players plan to participate in functions like special Trade Show viewings and the Conference’s schedule chock-full of opportunities to develop business and mutual understanding—from a private meeting with Ministers of Tourism to impromptu meetings with stakeholders and mixing and mingling with attendees and exhibitors at the Trade Show and nightly networking events. And a panel comprised of the cruise line brass will participate in a roundtable discussion as part of the Conference’s workshops.

Plus, key cruise executives from numerous sectors—including shore operations, port operations and development, itinerary planning, and purchasing and supply chain—will also attend special Trade Show viewings and networking events; lead workshops focused on understanding and maximizing their cruise tourism business; and even host one-on-one meetings pre-selected by attendees to gain personalized input and product promotion.

“The one-on-one meetings allow for us to learn about new developments and products and help fine-tune them to best fit the cruise lines; they give a real vantage point in knowing what the lines are looking for and how to appeal to them,” told Federico Gonzalez-Denton, associate vice president, government relations for Latin America and the Caribbean, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.

This involvement by some of the cruise industry’s most important decision makers have turned the FCCA Conference & Trade Show into what it is today—one of the best ways to directly target the cruise industry’s key figures and maximize cruise tourism’s benefits.

Or, as Micky Arison, Chairman, Carnival Corporation & plc, said, “The FCCA Cruise Conference & Trade Show puts cruise tourism stakeholders in the middle of the action. From tour operators launching their first tour to destinations building a new port, this is the place where decisions and developments are reached and relationships are made to pave the way for future business.”
