Cruise Executives and Stakeholders Celebrate Launch of FCCA’s Seatrade Cruise Global Events

Fort Lauderdale, FL (March 12, 2017) – More than 200 cruise executives and stakeholders gathered tonight at Fort Lauderdale Boatyard to kick off a batch of events coinciding with Seatrade Cruise Global hosted by the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA). Sponsored by the U.S. Virgin Islands, the event offered the opportunity for FCCA Platinum Members to optimize the week ahead by networking with executives from FCCA’s 19 Member Lines, those who decide where ships call, what sells on board and how to invest in products and infrastructure.

“The FCCA’s opening event for Seatrade Cruise Global is a vital part of this busy week,” said Adam Goldstein, FCCA Chairman and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines Ltd. President & COO, who was on-hand at the event. “The event made it possible to meet with some of the industry’s most important stakeholders and coordinate for the upcoming week.”

“Our Cruise Shipping opening event facilitated networking between our members and executives,” told Michele Paige, FCCA President. “This is a feature of all our events, but increasingly important during a week offering ample opportunities to take on new business, but limited availability of time and contacts. The FCCA ensures members the access to these contacts and resources.”

This event was the first of many hosted by the FCCA during Seatrade that help members and attendees maximize their chances to target cruise line executives. The week will also feature receptions and meetings at FCCA’s booth (#2721) throughout the event and the Welcome Aboard VIP Reception, an engaging, exclusive networking event on Tuesday evening for cruise executives and Platinum Members.

Plus, the open-registration 23rd annual FCCA Gala will take place Wednesday evening, joining attendees for a networking reception, silent art auction and sit-down dinner with FCCA Member Line executives, presidents and CEOs. And all proceeds will benefit the FCCA Foundation, a non-profit, charitable organization that funds humanitarian causes in the Caribbean and Latin America, including disaster relief, funding for institutions like hospitals and orphanages, and annual projects benefitting educational and children’s causes.
